A level switch is a sensor which can be installed at the top of the tank in order to prevent the fluid from overflowing. On the other hand, it can also be used to maintain a minimum level of fluid in the tank. The liquid level is detected with the use of electrodes. There are many applications of level switches in residential, commercial, industrial and municipality sectors. These devices are available in Side Mounted, 90 Degree, Miniature, Adjustable, Magnetic Float and other types. Other than liquid, it is possible to measure the level of powder and granulated material.

Type of Probes : A) Flexible Rope: A flexible PTFE insulated SS rope for measurement of liquid in the tank. In this case the tank is considered as the second probe. B) Rigid Rod : A Rigid PTFE insulated SS rod for measurement of liquid in the tank. In case a concentric pipe is provided then the pipe acts as the second electrode . If concentric pipe is absent then the tank is considered as the second electrode. C) Non Insulated Rigid Rod : A Rigid non insulated SS rod for measurement of liquid in the tank. A concentric pipe is provided which is isolated from the centre rod.This is used for non conducting liquids
