Application : A paddle type flow switch is used to detect flow or no flow in a horizontal / vertical pipe line. Their electricalsignals can be used to generate an Alarm, safe guard a pump from dry run, shower systems, central heatings ystems, air conditioning / ventilation units & also digital outputs to a PLC or electronic control units. Principle of Operation : The flow of liquid in the pipeline forces the paddle to move in the direction of the flow. The flow required(LPM or LPH) to actuate the paddle de pends on the line size. A magnet attached to the top of the paddleoperates a reed switch, hence giving a potential free output.
